The World Famous Hammersmith Morris Men

A mid-week tour round Bloomsbury takes us to:

• The Lamb in Lambs Conduit St. at 7:30pm
• The Duke in Roger Street at about 9:00pm

This is our major charity fundraising event of the year.

This year we are raising money for Cruisaid and Hammersmith & Fulham Action on Disability. 75% of our sponsorship will be going to Hafad with the remaining 25% going to Cruisaid.

The route for the event is still being planned but will take us through the centre of London.

The year is 2009 and it is 50 years since The Hammersmith Morris Men sprung onto the stage and started a tradition of entertaining and astounding audiences that has continued to this day.

We will be holding a party to mark the event over the weekend of 10th-12th July 2009.

A quick look through the team's archives shows that there have been about 250 men in kit since 1959. What we need to do is get in contact with as many of them as possible, as soon as possible. We need to start booking halls and inviting people as soon as possible.
