Formed in 1959, The World Famous Hammersmith Morris Men have brought delight to our adoring audiences at home and abroad for over 60 years.

In our distinctive blue and gold kit, with music that is both lively and loud, our dancing can regularly be seen around West London, as well as further afield.

Smiffs are always looking to welcome new dancers, no matter their level of experience, to the team and to the broader folk community.

We dance traditional Cotswold Morris with a focus on high energy, precision, and entertainment and we are a regular sight at festivals around the UK and abroad (USA, Italy, France, Germany, Greece).

As our name suggests, we are an urban team and as such we embrace the broad cultural diversity that being based in Hammersmith allows. Many members come from the UK but others have Irish, Australian, American and a variety of Yugoslav backgrounds amongst others. We regularly dance out in our local area and support our home borough of Hammersmith and Fulham in events such as the Unity Day, and engage with dance groups from different cultures based in West London and beyond.

TWFHMM are an inclusive, open and accepting men’s dance team. We enjoy the dancing, socialising and camaraderie that comes with a welcoming, diverse and hospitable team. We welcome anyone who might wish to give it a go. We practice at St Peters C of E Primary School, 33 St Peter's Rd, Hammersmith, London W6 9BA between 19:30 and 21:30 on Tuesdays or we can be found nearby in The Cross Keys pub after 21:30 if you want to come and talk to us first.

It has been brought to our attention that a number of unsavoury and unacceptable websites have been using images of us and citing us. TWFHMM have team members who have lost family due to despicable nationalist inspired crimes, thus we can categorically state that we are not associated with such repellent sites, nor do we hold their views. TWFHMM are an inclusive, open and accepting men’s dance team.
